An empty clothes hamper

I did not work today and decided that if I wasn't working, then I needed  to be productive.  I was.  I loaded and unloaded the dishwasher (it is currently running), changed the shower mat and liner, cleaned the bathroom and did two loads of laundry.  Can I just tell you how much I love an empty hamper.  Yeah me! ~Adios, J

Fuzzy Socks

So, it has been pretty cold here (we have a stagnant air alert and have had for almost two weeks now!)  I came home from work today and my feet were freezing cold.  I had socks and slippers on, but I could not get them warm.  Then I remembered I have a fuzzy socks.  Guess what?  They did the job!  Gotta love them! ~Adios, J

Yep....back to life, back to reality!

So, had to head back to work today.  Christmas Vacation is over.  It was good while it lasted!!!

Yep, that just about sums up my day teaching Kinder.  Whew!  Glad it's done!

So, I have been thinking that with a new year should come a new attitude.  I came across this somewhere and liked what it had to say.  I am not going to promise to be happy 100% of the time, but I figured little by little I can slowly do these things that will help make me a happier person.

SNOW

I WANT more snow!  Did I just say that outloud?  I know there are some people who do not like that 4 letter word, but I do like snow.  I like how this area definitely has the four seasons and I like snow with my winter.  Just wishing for more.  Guess I should be careful what I wish for, right?

CHANGE

So, I have been thinking a lot about a lot of different things.  Changes are a constant in life.....Some changes are easy, others are hard.  When I saw this sign, something clicked.....Change is necessary for growth.  In order for me to grow, changes are needed.  Thank you Walt Disney for teaching me a thing or two!

I have always liked this song.  When I saw this on Facebook, I copied and pasted it.  I like the message of it.  Years ago, my friend Julie and I would sing this as a duet.  Recently my three year old niece sang it to me.  It always puts a smile on my face.

So, I have been thinking a lot about how judgemental I can be and how it really is NOT a good thing.  I need to stop making assumptions about things and people and live by this quote.  It is a good one.  Thank you Robert Louis Stevevnson.

I have had a head cold/sinus headache now for 5 days now.  I did not go anywhere Saturday, Sunday or Monday and stayed home and drank lots of water and slept, a lot.  Uggh!!!  I am slowly getting better, but my poor nose.  Good thing these are the kleenex with the lotion in them.  Uggh!

Starbucks Peppermint Hot Chocolate

Yumm!!!!! My favorite in the wintertime, especially when it is COLD outside.  It is pricy, but I love the flavor!  Yumm-o!

Wedding Centerpieces

My youngest brother, Kevin, is getting married in June.  Lynette and I are assisting with the Open House that will be here in Moses. So, we have been looking at different things.  I like the simplicity of this centerpiece.  Not sure what Kevin and Allyson will decide on, but we will see......

Baby Shower Punch

So, went to a baby shower for my soon to arrive nephew, Noah.  I volunteered to make the punch.  A friend of mine sent me this recipie that is all a buzz on pinterest.  It is suppose to look like bath water.  I tweaked it a bit and made it with gatorade, white grape juice, ginger ale and vanilla ice cream then had the rubber duckies floating in it.  It was a hit and was told it tasted delish!

Can I just say I am NOT a fan of pm church.  I like the morning so much more.  I feel like I am unproductive  on Sunday when we have to go later.  Oh well....it will change in 2014!

Martin Luther King, Jr. DayIt was nice to have a holiday.  I went to breakfast with my sister and had an unproductive afternoon.  Gotta love days like that?!?

Yes, it is winter and yes, I love SNOW!!!!  Now, I know some people do NOT love that four letter word, but I do.  It snowed through the night last night.  Luckily, I did not have to go to work today, so I got to stay home nice and warm and Wade shoveled it.  Yeah!!!

So, in our church building, we change times every year.  We go at 8:30 am for a year, then switch to 11 am the next.  It has been this way for the last six years.  Because our congregation has grown as well as the other one in our building, they have moved the single adults from their standard 1 pm and gave it to us.  Uggh!!!!  I am not liking it.  I felt like I slept my Sunday morning away and by the time we got home, it was time for dinner and before we knew it.....bed.  Uggh....good thing there are only 51 more Sundays to go.

So, my husband is now motivated to work out more.  So he really, really, really wanted a treadmill, but I was hesitant.  So, when he saw this at Target, he picked it up and put it in the cart.  I figure it is a win-win.  It was A LOT cheaper than a treadmill and takes up A LOT less space.  He put it together earlier today and even tried it out.  We will see what happens.  Until tomorrow~J

Wade had one job early this morning and then he took the rest of the day off.  So, we headed to Spokane.  He had a suit that he needed fitted.  We did that, then did some shopping and he even let me go to my favorite store!  Yeah!!!  We did some other shopping at one of the malls and then met my sister-in-law and niece for lunch.  It was a great day.  Thanks for the get away honey!  Love ya! So it has been pretty cold here the last couple of days.  Because I am still on Christmas vacation, I really haven't gone anywhere.  However, when I was walking into my house, I turned and looked at my rose bushes and saw this icicle.  Brrrrrr!  It is COLD!

Wade has been working crazy long hours with work lately.  Tonight he was home and done by 5 pm! Yeah!!!  So we went out to dinner at Ralphies!  It was a great date night!  Love you honey.

2013 Project 365~Day 1

Happy New Year!  

So, upon thinking and reflecting upon various things, I have decided once again to do Project 365.  I started this in 2010, but only made it about a 10th of the way there.  Not sure why I didn't complete it.  So here we go.....2013 Project 365.  Wish me luck!
